Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a facility located in Orange, California. This high-volume, high-risk unit specializes in caring for all pregnancy diagnoses, requiring seasoned professionals with strong clinical skills in obstetric and neonatal care. The RN will provide specialized patient care in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, supporting a team dedicated to maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, at least 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred). Must be able to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams, with experience in large hospital settings highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk deliveries, vaginal delivery assistance, and sterile procedures. Strong skills in neonatal and obstetric emergencies, including high-risk antepartum care.
• Additional Information: The unit cares for neonates and adults, managing diagnoses such as preterm labor, hypertension, pre-eclampsia, fetal anomalies, and multiples. Candidates should be flexible to work weekends and holidays, with a commitment to contracted schedule and specific RTO requests up-front. Travel pairs are not considered, and local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred.
