Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in ISSAQUAH, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery Department, supporting patients through preterm labor and delivery processes. The role requires interaction with high-risk obstetric cases, performing specialized procedures, and attending high-risk and routine deliveries in a busy obstetric unit.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts; minimum of 48 hours per week starting from 09/14/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and current Epic electronic charting system experience are required. Valid compact state license must be in hand at submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to post-partum and possibly labor and delivery units at nearby facilities.
  • Additional Information:
    • Experience handling blood/blood products, cardioversion/defibrillation, managing epidural and PCA pumps, and wound care is necessary.
    • Competency in high-risk obstetric procedures such as attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, and working with special equipment like warming blankets, infusion pumps, and central lines.
    • The role involves caring for adolescents, infants, and adults, with a daily census averaging between 200-300 patient visits, across multiple labor and triage rooms.
    • Candidates must have references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, including experience with charge or lead responsibilities, and be willing to work a minimum of 3 out of 5 holidays during the contract.
