Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Templeton, California. This position involves assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff to ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase. The role requires active participation in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatments. The position is represented by CNA.

Job Details:

• Location: Templeton, California
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shifts include evenings and nights, with 1-2 nights per week on call and one weekend per month.
• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; current RN license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; two years of operating room circulating experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR).
• Essential Functions: Competency in circulating in the Operating Room, maintaining aseptic techniques, operating routine surgical equipment, patient preparation and positioning, patient care assessment pre-, intra-, and post-surgery, handling biohazardous materials, and utilizing facility information systems for patient care documentation. Knowledge of emergency preparedness, hazardous materials management, and hospital safety protocols is required.
• Additional Information: Must be competent in documenting tissue temperature and package integrity, and efficiently using downtime for job-related activities. The position requires compliance with vaccination policies and adherence to safety and environmental protocols. Epic electronic medical record system experience is required.
