Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse position is based in Denver, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The IMCU Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching and counseling to patients. The position requires delivering supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, either directly or through collaboration, delegation, supervision, or education. The role may include floating to other departments within scope and qualifications, and the candidate may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited School of Nursing, current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, and certifications including BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and NIH.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree of Nursing, previous experience as a Registered Nurse, and TNCC certification.
• Additional Information: The role involves executing delegated medical functions, patient referrals, monitoring treatment plans, documentation compliance, and resource utilization. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to perform essential nursing functions and medical procedures independently and collaboratively.
