Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Billings, Montana. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical responsibilities in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The position encompasses assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care; performing health teaching and counseling; providing supportive therapy and treatment; executing delegated medical functions; and reviewing and monitoring treatment plans. The Nurse may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency, and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, mid shifts from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. or 3 p.m. to 3 a.m., with minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) - graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and ability to perform essential nursing duties.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of Nursing and certification appropriate for the unit or service.
  • Skills: Health teaching, nursing care, health data assessment, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, treatment plan monitoring, medical function execution, patient referral, clinical documentation, resource utilization, and Registered Nurse experience.
  • Additional Information: The position involves performing clinical duties in the Emergency Room, with responsibilities including health assessment, patient education, and executing medical functions as delegated. Flexibility for floating and on-call shifts may be required.
