Job Summary:
A travel registered nurse specializing in Step Down Units is needed for an inpatient acute floor in Bloomington, Illinois. This role involves caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions including respiratory issues, cardiac conditions, post-surgical care, and neurologic concerns. The position offers rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Travel RN would work three 12-hour shifts with rotating nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel RN would be put into a holiday & weekend rotation.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive ICU experience for floating to ICU, otherwise assigned to general medical floors.
• Float: Travel RNs are first to float; can go to ICU if extensive ICU experience is present, otherwise to general medical floors. The travel RN would take whatever assignment is required for that level of care.
• Additional Information: Unit has 32 private beds. Nurse to patient ratio is 3-4 patients per nurse. Dress code is scrubs of any color. Orientation includes one day with the education team and one day floor orientation.
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS. Minimum experience required is 2 years.
• Start Date: 08/31/2026.
