Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse LITTLE FALLS, Minnesota. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy, Level IV trauma and stroke-ready emergency department. The environment treats issues across the lifespan from newborns to geriatrics, requiring quick learning, independence, teamwork, and strong practical skills. The role offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated team to deliver critical care in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled in 6-week blocks with rotating days and nights; no self-scheduling is permitted.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification in BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC. Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience in a critical access facility. Active licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a variety of patient conditions including respiratory, cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients. Ability to perform triage and handle multiple patient acuities independently.
- Additional Information:
- Unit features 10 beds, including 2 trauma bays and a locked seclusion room.
- No in-house security; de-escalation skills required and coordination with local law enforcement during emergencies.
- Staffing includes one provider in the ED 24/7, consisting of MDs, DOs, or PAs.
- The department is equipped with RT services during daytime hours, performing EKGs, ABGs, and respiratory treatments.
- Charting system used is EPIC.
- Float rotation is not required.
- No tele/monitor techs on staff; RNs are required to read their own strips.
- Uniform dress code is professional appearance; no specific scrub color.
- RTO (Reason To Occur) requests require upfront approval; no additional RTO allowed.
- The assignment begins on 08/31/2026.
