Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a Level I trauma center located in Iowa. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care within a high-volume surgical environment that includes trauma, robotics, neuro, ortho, gyn, urology, transplants, and more. The role requires adaptability to float across multiple campuses and working a rotating shift schedule.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Education Requirements: Active Iowa or multistate nursing license required; 24 months of current operating room experience required, hospital/medical center experience prioritized
• Years of Experience: 24 years minimum required
• Location Requirements: Must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Schedule: Rotating Shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience, circulating/operating room experience, scrubbing experience highly preferred, experience in general, Da Vinci Robotics, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, vascular, EPIC electronic medical systems within previous 3 years, trauma level I experience highly preferred, level II experience required, no first-time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 15 months, scrubbing experience in orthopedics highly preferred, active Iowa/IA license, professional references from within 24 months, drivers license, BLS (AHA).
• Additional Information: Candidate must be flexible to work scheduled on weekends and holidays, with requirements to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays if the unit is open. Will be required to float across all campuses. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with expectations for turnover times of less than 20 minutes and use of advanced surgical and navigation technology.
