Job Summary:
The Johnson City, New York, location is seeking a Surgical Technician for a full-time day shift position. This role involves maintaining sterile technique, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring patient safety within the operating room environment. The Surgical Technician will work as part of a team to provide efficient and high-quality surgical care across various specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day rotation shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) and BLS certification from AHA, HSI, or the American Red Cross.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous operating room experience. Experience in surgical specialties such as orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, podiatry, ENT, and pain management.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include adhering to infection control policies, assisting the surgeon with gowning, gloving, draping, passing instruments, maintaining an organized operative field, and ensuring proper specimen handling. The role also entails preparing supplies, supporting preoperative safety checks, and assisting in OR turnover. The position may involve taking rotating call duty and performing duties as requested.
