Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse located in Hastings, Nebraska. This role involves providing acute care in a state-certified Level III trauma center specializing in emergency services. The position offers night shift coverage with every other weekend and seasonal holiday requirements, supporting a busy ER with approximately 40 patients daily.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, with shifts approximately from 1800-0600, every other weekend, and holiday coverage including one winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) and one summer holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day).
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC; Nebraska state nursing license; minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience; good communication and assessment skills; prior travel experience preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric patients, triage, and managing common drips such as antibiotics, cardiac medications, Heparin, TPA, and insulin.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (1800-0600), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The ER is a busy, high-acuity setting with variable nurse-to-patient ratios around 3-4 to 1 during peak times. The department includes a dedicated trauma bay, triage area, and psych/seclusion room. In-house 24/7 emergency medical technician (EMT) staff, radiology services, and comprehensive emergency care resources are available. Nurses will perform charting in EPIC.
