Description
Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) registered nurses are needed for a day shift position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing post-anesthesia care, with scheduled shifts beginning between 0600 and 0800, based on departmental needs. The assignment includes on-site float opportunities within the organization's skill set or to sites within 40 miles, accommodating operational requirements.
Job Details:
- Shift Details: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, scheduled start times between 0600 and 0800 depending on department need. Call: based on department needs - currently 1-2 shifts per week day, every third weekend (from Friday end of shift to 0630 Monday morning), rotating holidays with staff.
- Required Qualifications: 0 years of minimum experience; Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support); active nursing license verified through Nursys; valid driver's license or state ID; professional profile in the organization's system; two professional references.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pre-operative, post-operative (including PACU), gastrointestinal (GI), interventional radiology (IR), and travel experience; familiarity with electronic health records (EPIC).
- Additional Information: Must have experience in pre- and post-operative care within operating rooms, GI, IR, and PACU settings. Flexibility to float within skill set or to various sites within 40 miles may be required. Start date is 09/06/2026, with an end date of 12/05/2026.
