Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Specialty position located in an urban healthcare facility. The role involves providing urgent and critical care in a fast-paced emergency department. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, managing multiple cases, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Emergency Nursing (RN license), with 3 years of relevant ER experience. Candidates must possess strong prioritization, time management, de-escalation skills, and CPR certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) course, teamwork skills, and attention to detail.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit has 38 beds across main areas including Rapid, Main, and POD 3 (psych safe area). Staffing includes 7 day/night registered nurses and 5 mid-shift RNs. Procedures performed include port placements and chest tubes. The unit values patient-focused, attentive, positive, and coachable personalities. The shift accommodates four weekend shifts and two Fridays minimum every four weeks, with holiday coverage required.
