Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse (RN) position is located in Maryland. This role involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care for patients across a broad age range, from pediatrics to geriatrics. The nurse will support patients with various surgical diagnoses, including orthopedic, neuro, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, thoracic, urology, and gynecology cases. The position offers a 12-hour shift schedule during daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for Maryland or an active Compact license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications; 2+ years of recent PACU experience and 2 years of ICU experience; first-time travelers with strong 3-5 years of PACU experience are accepted.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma Level I or II centers, community hospital settings, and familiarity with Epic electronic charting system.
• Float: Floating within the specialty may be required, including to pre-operative areas and sister facilities as needed.
• Additional Information: This assignment begins on 09/14/2026 for a duration of 13 weeks. Holiday shifts as scheduled are required. The team works a rotating schedule with two weekends per cycle and may be asked to work holidays as they fall. The candidate must have the ability to meet onsite compliance onboarding within 72 hours of contract signing and submit all required documentation five days prior to start date.
