Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position in Riverside, California. This role involves providing direct patient care in a busy labor and delivery unit, managing labor processes, and performing associated procedures. The assigned shift is daytime hours, requiring a dedicated and organized healthcare professional to support patient needs during peak periods.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certifications. Experience with Labor and Delivery nursing, coupled care, and fetal monitoring is essential. Preference for candidates with over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience and skills in managing labor, cervical exams, and medication titration.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with couplet care, over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, and transition nurse or baby catching skills.
• Unit Information: Labor beds: 11, 4-ObEval, 2 OB PACU, 2 ORs. Patient ratios are 1 RN/2 patients during the day shift and 1 RN/1 patient during other shifts. The unit utilizes GE fetal monitoring and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems including CPN and Meditech.
• Additional Information: Candidates must meet the certification requirements and have a flexible, organized personality suited for a busy labor and delivery environment. The unit occasionally requires weekend and on-call coverage, but scheduled on-call may not be consistently necessary.
