Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position located within a healthcare organization. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in the obstetrics and gynecology setting, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care utilizing age-specific criteria. The RN will also assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Patient Care Technicians (PCT). Flexibility with work schedule changes is essential to meet department needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications: Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification.
  • Education and Licensure: Must possess an active Ohio or Ohio Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license as verified through Nursys.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of obstetrics experience is required, including experience functioning as a first assist and scrubbing in obstetrics.
  • Skills: Current and pertinent skills checklist specific to obstetrics (OBGYN), valid within one year.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to function as a first assist in obstetrics, scrub OB, and demonstrate flexibility in shift scheduling.
  • Profile Documentation: Current work history and skills checklist that are relevant to obstetrics nursing.
  • Other Certifications: Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and certifications in BLS, ACLS, STABLE, and NRP are required.
  • Start Date: 09/10/2026
  • End Date: 12/10/2026
  • On-call: No call required.
  • Weekend Schedule: Every third weekend.
  • Local Traveler Policy: Travelers with a permanent address within a 45-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers, which may impact rate adjustments.
