Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in St. Petersburg, Florida. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical unit. The role requires working dayshift hours, with the expectation to support a team in a fast-paced environment that handles a variety of procedures, including robotics gynecology, urology, and general surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and a minimum of 0 years of clinical experience. Candidates should have experience or familiarity with surgical procedures such as robotics gynecology, urology, and general surgeries.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in OR settings involving robotic surgeries, ability to take call, and adaptable team-oriented personalities are preferred.
• Unit Information:
  • Number of beds: 7 operating room suites
  • Staff: 30 including Certified Surgical Technologists, Registered Nurses, Aides, and leadership staff
  • Patient ratios: 1:1 for many procedures
  • Equipment: Variety based on specialty, including robotic surgical tools
  • EMR: Meditech
• Additional Information:
  • This role involves variable call schedules.
  • The nurse will work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis.
  • The unit prides itself on new equipment, experienced staff, and a collaborative environment.
