Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position in Massachusetts. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will administer and monitor responses to medications, guide patient care and teaching, and support ancillary personnel while adhering to hospital policies and standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred, currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), successful completion of CCHs Pharmacology exam, documentation of attendance at Fetal Monitor Course every 2 years (Intermediate or Advanced), current certification in American Academy of Pediatric Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), recent obstetric experience within 2 years.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
  • Additional Information: The nurse will utilize the nursing process to care for obstetric patients, maintain accurate patient records, participate in quality monitoring indicators, demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing informatics, and serve as a resource for staff training and patient care. The role includes representing the hospital in the community, delivering service excellence, and performing other duties as assigned.
