Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing advanced patient care to adult and pediatric patients in a 16-bed ICU setting, with potential to expand to 20 beds. The shift scheduled is nights, with responsibilities including managing complex medical conditions, operating ventilators, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position requires eligibility to work in an acute care environment with specific certifications and experience.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with work scheduled from 09/14/2026 through 12/14/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, and willingness to submit license to a healthcare organization.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification, experience with adult and pediatric patients including MedSurg, Neuro, Balloon Pumps, ICP management, TPA, ECMO, Impella, CRRT (PrismaFlex), TAVR, EVAR, and carotid stenting is preferred.
- Additional Information:
- Unit staff conditions include a 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Float to Telemetry (Tele) unit may be required.
- Orientation includes two shifts in the ICU before working independently.
- Entire staffing requires rapid response capabilities with a 30-minute response time for on-call duties.
- In-house coverage includes 24-hour intensivists and hospitalists, along with pharmacy and respiratory therapy available 24/7.
- The role involves care for adults and children with diverse diagnoses such as trauma, psych, DKA, hypothermia, ECMO, Impella, and IABP, among others.
- Shifts may include alternating weekends and holiday shifts; on-call responsibilities may be required, with the ability to respond within 30 minutes.
