Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Float Nurse in a high-volume obstetrics unit. This role involves providing skilled patient care across multiple Labor and Delivery areas, including antepartum, labor, discharge, and postpartum recovery. The position requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on supporting staffing needs across various shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). No minimum years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Transition Care Nursing of Neonates (TCN) is a plus, though not required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This position involves supporting a busy obstetric unit with bed-side ultrasounds, fetal monitors, infant warmers, sterile vaginal tables, and other specialized equipment. The nurse must be flexible, adhere to dress code of royal blue scrubs, and follow all unit policies and attendance guidelines. Shift cancellations up to two shifts per 13-week contract are possible based on census. The role includes working four weekends per schedule period over four weeks.
