Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in a hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized patient care for a diverse patient population, including handling admissions, discharges, and transfers in a fast-paced environment. The position is scheduled for dayshift coverage starting from August 17, 2026, through November 16, 2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; experience in telemetry and reading EKGs; ability to manage a fast-paced unit with admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures; minimum 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing conditions; strong problem-solving skills; good judgment; ability to notify physicians promptly regarding patient condition changes.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 25 beds, staffed with a charge RN, RNs, a unit secretary, and technical staff. Equipment includes EKG Machines, Hoyer Lifts, and LifePak. The role involves critical patient assessments and cardiac monitoring, with most cardiac procedures performed in the Cath Lab.
