Description
Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in a busy emergency department. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, responding to critical situations with urgency and teamwork. The position requires adaptability and proficiency in emergency procedures to support patient stabilization and treatment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS; 0 years of experience; no specific degree or location requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CEN or TCRN; CPI; more than two years of emergency department experience
- Additional Information: The unit has 16 beds with 8 hall chairs, functioning as a Level II trauma center transitioning from a Level IV. Staff includes 6-7 nurses per shift, with low acuity patient care (ESI 4 & 5, occasional ESI 6). Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, and more. Staff attend shift huddles at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with mandatory EMTALA training. The team promotes a spirited environment with team jerseys and celebrates departmental awards, focusing on patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
