Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery RN San Antonio, TX. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Womens Pavilion at a prominent healthcare organization. The role requires delivering compassionate, high-quality care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, utilizing advanced fetal monitoring and adhering to unit protocols. The assignment spans approximately three months, beginning in September 2026.

Job Details:

  • Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, Days, 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license; 2+ years of recent hospital experience in Labor and Delivery; certifications in fetal monitoring (intermediate and advanced), ACLS, and BLS
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech documentation system; additional certifications relevant to obstetric care are a plus
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, as needed
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have experience in fetal monitoring (above certification listed), and be able to perform procedures such as vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 and 16 LDR beds. Staff clothing includes navy scrubs for RN personnel, and strict appearance policies are enforced.
