Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse (MS ORTHO) Birmingham, AL. This position involves providing specialized nursing care on a busy orthopedic and post-operative unit. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, demonstrating strong time management and technical skills, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care on a medical-surgical orthopedics unit, focusing on post-operative and orthopedic patients.
- Certifications: BLS and NIHSS (American Heart Association) required.
- Education & Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience preferred; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
- Location Requirements: Must be licensed and able to work in Birmingham, AL.
- Schedule: Night shift, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, starting at 6:45 PM and ending at 7:15 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Bedside shift report, patient care on a high-acuity unit, and adherence to hospital dress code (navy scrubs).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Med/Surg, orthopedics, and post-op care; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; confident and quick-thinking personality.
