Orthopedic Medical Surgical Nurse (MS ORTHO) Birmingham, AL. This position entails providing specialized care to post-operative orthopedic patients within a fast-paced unit. The role involves bedside reporting, patient management, and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
Job Details
- Location: Birmingham, AL
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Orthopedic/Surgical Post-operative unit
- Schedule: Nights, 3x12 shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong time management, positive attitude, strong work ethic, attendance, and bedside report proficiency
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Med/Surg, orthopedics, post-operative care, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Responsibilities: Providing bedside care, managing orthopedic post-op patients, participating in bedside shift reports, and maintaining patient safety and comfort
- Dress Code: Scrubs (Navy)
- Dress Code Restrictions: No long nails, gel nails, wrapped nails, dipped nails, or fake nails of any kind
