Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse (OR) position available in a healthcare organization. The role involves working in a diverse surgical environment with a focus on thoracic and vascular/endovascular procedures. The assignment requires certification in neurovascular surgery and prior travel experience, with a preference for candidates experienced in adult cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro cases. The assignment is scheduled to start on 09/28/2026 and end on 03/27/2027, with dayshift hours and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour dayshifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 09/28/2026 through 03/27/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification on file for NBSTA, minimum of 2 years OR experience, documented thoracic and vascular/endovascular experience, prior travel experience, experience with adult patients including neuro, trauma, and general cases, and location requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience and additional specialty certifications are advantageous.
- Float: Float rotation not required.
- Additional Information: The role involves working in a Level 1 trauma hospital with ORs dedicated to adult surgery, including open heart, transplant, and various case types such as neuro, trauma, general, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, robotic, hybrid, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary. No call responsibilities, with limited time off requests (no more than 5-7 days). The candidate may float between operating rooms but not different locations.
