Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR) for a facility located at a teaching hospital with 221 beds. This position involves providing direct clinical care to patients in the operating room setting, supervising staff, and supporting high-quality, safe nursing practices. The assignment is scheduled to begin on 08/17/2026 and conclude on 10/26/2026, with an expected minimum of 40 hours per week and 10-hour shift days.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the state of practice; no minimum years of experience required; current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; operating room experience preferred but not mandatory; location in the specified state or willing to relocate.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in an operating room setting, familiarity with surgical procedures, and ability to supervise clinical staff.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The operating room Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and supervising direct patient care within the surgical environment. The role includes supervising staff to ensure quality care, maintaining clinical competency, and managing resources efficiently. Call duties are required one night a week Monday through Friday and every other weekend. The position involves wearing navy blue nurse scrubs and reporting to the staffing office located on the 1st floor, 1st hall on the left, with the TRA clock by the staffing office and parking available anywhere.
