Description

Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN for a healthcare provider in a med-surg intermediate care setting. The position involves providing patient care in a 36-bed unit specializing in heavy telemetry, ventilator and trach management, and various acute conditions such as sepsis, trauma, stroke, and GI bleed. The role requires resilience, adaptability, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment, with a focus on independent task completion and timely patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC); at least 2+ years of clinical experience in Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or Progressive Care Unit; ventilator and trach experience; trauma level II experience preferred; ICU experience preferred; minimum of 1 prior travel assignment is required; associate degree or certificate is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • Float: May float to higher acuity inpatient units as needed, typically to units requiring advanced skills.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a stable, high-acuity setting with a heavy telemetry component, managing patients with varied critical conditions such as TBI, orthopedics, and spinal injuries. The patient ratio is 4:1. Candidates need to demonstrate strong resilience, independence, and the ability to handle a dynamic environment. Flu season policies require masking if declining vaccinations.
