Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position available in an acute care setting. This role involves providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population, including post-operative, pediatric, and medical patients. The position requires adaptability, strong medication administration skills, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with additional shifts possible; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, NIHSS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience on a medical-surgical unit. Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is essential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry, ventilators (CPap, Bipap, high flow), and managing various patient conditions such as congestive heart failure, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, orthopedic injuries, detox, surgical post-ops, and pediatric care.
• Responsibilities: Titrate and manage IV drips (no titrating cardiac or insulin drips required), read cardiac and ICU monitor strips, assist with patient repositions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Float: Float rotation required; candidates should be comfortable assisting other units as needed.
• Orientation: 3-5 days, including unit tour, introductions, and policy review, with training provided by education, pharmacy, and lab departments.
• Additional Notes: Shift weekend rotations every other week, holiday rotation with regular staff, uniforms provided, and scrubs accepted in any color except camo or orange.
