Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care that aligns with professional standards. Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Director, the ICU Nurse coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on patients requiring intensive care and complex treatment interventions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school.
• Additional Information: The registered nurse will perform bedside point of care testing as required, prioritize patient needs, and utilize healthcare standards and policies in delivering care. The role involves collaboration within the interdisciplinary team, discharge planning, patient assessment, and preparation of care plans. The position also emphasizes safety management and cultural competence in patient care delivery.
