Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department professional in the designated location. This role involves providing high-quality care within a Level II maternity unit with a Level I nursery, supporting low risk obstetric patients, and working in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability for floating to other units as needed. The position is scheduled for nights, with an emphasis on collaboration and clinical expertise.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license must be in hand at submission; at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery nursing; certification in Advanced Womens Health, Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and STABLE; experience with adult cardiac arrest, assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and use of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous community hospital or Level II maternity unit experience, familiarity with Epic charting systems, and experience in a Level I nursery setting.
  • Additional Information: The role requires reliable transportation, and candidates may be asked to float between facilities based on the needs of the organization. Shifts may include working holidays, and all scheduling requests must be specified during submission. Candidates will need to adhere to staffing standards per AWHONN guidelines, with 1:1 staffing for active labors and 1:3 postpartum couples.
