Job Summary:
The Postpartum Floor registered nurse job opportunity is located in a healthcare facility that provides comprehensive mother and baby care services. This position involves supporting patients during their postpartum period, including performing routine procedures, patient education, and assessment to ensure optimal recovery and care for new mothers and infants.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 0 years of experience minimum; BLS certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in maternal/child health or postpartum care; location requirements are not specified
• Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; NICU or postpartum experience; candidates with these skills will be considered first
• Additional Information: The unit has approximately 70 beds staffed by a team of 120 personnel, including day and night shifts. The unit primarily handles mother/baby care, lactation support, phototherapy, blood sugar checks, and IV antibiotics. The typical profile seeks a positive, flexible team player. Candidates must adhere to the unit's dress code and policies. Staffing includes 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule; no on-call required.
