Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position located at a medical facility in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing patient care on a cardiac telemetry unit, with responsibilities including monitoring patients' cardiac status, reading EKGs, and responding to changing clinical conditions. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that requires strong clinical judgment and teamwork.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS & ACLS certifications, experience with telemetry reading and EKG interpretation, ability to handle a fast-paced unit with multiple admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to prioritize patient care, adapt to changing conditions, and communicate effectively with physicians.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 25 beds with a staffing model that includes charge RNs, RNs, a unit secretary, and techs. Typical procedures are primarily performed in the catheterization lab. The shift includes weekend rotations every third Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with additional coverage during holidays and special occasions.
