Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available for a healthcare provider in the Richmond, VA area. This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill newborns within a busy NICU setting. The selected candidate will work night shifts, offering critical nursing services in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support); No minimum experience required; Location in Richmond, VA
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous Level III NICU experience; Central line maintenance (PICC/UVC/UAC); Intubated/vented patient care; Bubble CPAP/NIPPV experience; High frequency JET/Oscillator ventilator skills; Post-operative GTube placement; Admission/discharge experience
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Unit utilizes specialized equipment including Giraffe isolettes, syringe pumps, infusion pumps, ventilators, and electronic fetal monitoring. The nurse will assist with procedures such as circumcisions, NG tube placements, IV starts, lab draws, medication administration, and assist with various diagnostic imaging procedures. The team emphasizes strong teamwork, a positive attitude, and patient-family orientation.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36+ hours per week, from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
