Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse located in Pulaski, VA. This position involves providing critical nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The role requires a comprehensive skill set focused on triaging, stabilizing patients, and managing various acuities, including trauma and pediatric cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS); no minimum years of experience required; location in Pulaski, VA
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
• Additional Information: Unit equipped with Glidescope, bedside ultrasound, EV1000, trauma room, psych-safe room. Typical staff includes one charge nurse, four registered nurses, and one technician during day shifts; evening shifts typically have one charge nurse and one registered nurse after 1 am. Patient ratios are 4:1 unless in the lower acuity Fast Track area. The unit follows a navy blue scrub dress code and implements specific policies regarding exposed tattoos and natural hair color. The role includes rotating weekends and on-call duties as needed.
