Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor nurse position located in LewisGale Medical Center. This role involves providing patient care on a 36-bed unit, primarily focused on post-operative patients, wound care, and drain management. The assignment is for night shifts, with a focus on teamwork and delivering positive patient experiences.

Job Details:

• Location: LewisGale Medical Center, Salem, VA
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); 1 year of nursing experience; candidates must be familiar with post-operative patient care, dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-operative patients, competent with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management; team player with a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
• Additional Information: The unit employs Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs. The environment is fast-paced, emphasizing teamwork and excellent patient experience scores. Dress code is navy blue or white scrubs. No health care organization or hospital names are included.
