Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Salem, VA. This role involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department with a 27-bed capacity. The position requires strong team collaboration and the ability to work effectively during night shifts to meet patient needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; 2 or more years of ER nursing experience; relevant education or degree; current license applicable to the state of practice.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high acuity and high volume emergency departments; familiarity with patient ratios of 5:1; previous travel assignment experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The ER unit handles procedures including RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocols with tPA administration, central line placement, and care of psychiatric patients. No on-call requirement; weekends consist of four shifts over a four-week period.
