Operating Room (First Assistant) in an acute care facility located within the service area. The position involves providing first assist support during surgical procedures, with a focus on orthopedic, spine, abdominal robotics, and plastics surgeries. The role requires scrub experience, certification in NBSTA CST-FA, and at least two years of operating room experience. The schedule includes 12-hour day shifts, primarily during weekdays, with a need for flexibility to float between locations as required.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, weekdays; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in NBSTA CST-FA, surgical scrub experience, must have First Assist experience, and a minimum of 2 years operating room experience. Valid certification must be on file at the time of submission. Certifications must include NBSTA CST-FA.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ortho, ortho spine, abdominal robotics, and plastics.
• Additional Information: The target candidate must be greater than 75 miles from the facility, with no local travelers accepted. No orientation on 09/07 due to Labor Day. The assignment duration is approximately 26 weeks, starting on 09/28/2026 and ending on 03/27/2027. The hospital has a Level 1 trauma designation, with a 966-bed capacity, handling diagnoses including trauma/neuro, transplant, neuro, and general surgery. The OR comprises 56 beds, including inpatient, outpatient, and procedural units, with capability for float between OR locations but not other areas.
