Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in Christiansburg. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy ER environment, supporting unit-specific protocols, and working collaboratively with medical teams. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and technology in a recognized healthcare facility.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; minimum of 0 years of experience; valid nursing license; ability to work nights; located within commute of the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: NRP certification is preferred but not required
• Additional Information: Nursing staff are responsible for running labs ordered, performing procedures on the unit such as apply OCLs, breathing treatments, and conscious sedations. The unit employs POC laboratory technology, EKG, C1 ventilator, Baxter pumps, glucometers, and cardiac monitors. The unit operates with a staff of 2 day-shift nurses, 2 mid-shift nurses, and 2 night-shift nurses, supporting an 11-bed ER with a patient ratio of 4:1. The facility recognizes staff efforts and maintains high standards in patient experience, requiring a score of 80% or above.
