Description
Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing as a Certified First Surgical Assistant will serve in a fast-paced surgical environment at a general hospital location. The role involves supporting surgical teams across various procedures, including robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and other specialties. The position requires a proactive team player committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and operating room efficiency.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift (12 hours) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Virginia Licensure, without experience requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in robotic surgery, orthopedic surgery, or neuro/spine procedures is preferred.
- Responsibilities: Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, support OR staff, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Additional Information: The unit has 16 operating rooms staffed with one team of registered nurses, surgical assistants, and surgical technicians per room. Staff work on a day shift with tapering into evening shifts, including weekend and night call rotations averaging two shifts weekly. The facility uses Meditech electronic medical records and is equipped with advanced surgical technology, including robotics and neurosurgical equipment. The position runs from 09/07/2026 to 12/07/2026.
