Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse - Richmond, VA. The organization is seeking a compassionate and engaged Medical Surgical (MS) nurse to join a versatile and patient-centered unit specializing in general medical and surgical care, including stroke and neuro-related cases. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that values excellence and recognition.

Job Details

Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Education: Current nursing license; Experience: 0 years minimum; Location: Richmond, VA
Preferred Qualifications: Neuro and stroke certification; ACLS; Previous experience on medical-surgical floors or neuro-designated units
Additional Information: The unit maintains a maximum capacity of 43 patients with staffing ratios of 5:1. Typical procedures include general medical and surgical care, stroke management, and neuro care. The team includes a charge nurse, RNs, techs, and a unit secretary. Candidates should be upbeat, engaged, and compassionate. Dress code is navy scrubs. The unit has received multiple Daisy awards, is stroke certified, and has maintained over 850 days free of CAUTI.
