Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nursing position located in the area. This 8-week contract involves day shifts with a schedule of 12 hours per day, requiring the candidate to reside at least 50 miles from the facility. The role focuses on providing comprehensive inpatient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, ensuring quality care for patients with various medical needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired; current RN license in the state/district required prior to start; at least 1 year of registered nurse experience required; 2 years of experience in a clinical setting; minimum of 1 year of inpatient medical telemetry acute care experience required; Cerner experience required; graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; ability to interpret telemetry rhythms prior to the start.
  • Additional Information: Must be able to complete a telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start; the unit has 16 patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6. The responsibilities include performing initial and ongoing assessments, delivering competent patient care, and ensuring appropriate documentation per hospital policy.
