Job Summary
Operating Room Specialist in Reston, Virginia. This role involves working in a busy surgical environment with a focus on a variety of procedures including orthopedics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care during day shift hours.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 09/07/2026 and concludes on 12/07/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications specific to the role (e.g., Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), license, or applicable state and federal certifications), Basic Life Support (BLS), and any additional certifications aligned with role requirements. No minimum years of experience is specified but candidates are expected to demonstrate relevant skills.
• Unit Information: Operating Room with 18 beds, staffed by a mix of Registered Nurses (RN), Surgical Technicians, and support staff. The unit handles trauma, orthopedic, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries, including complex procedures such as spinal fusion, total joint replacements, and DaVinci robot surgeries.
• Personality Fit: Team player with a strong collaborative attitude.
• Additional Information: Candidates must possess Level 2 or greater trauma experience and expertise in spine and orthopedic procedures. Candidates without these skills will not be considered. On-call responsibilities include approximately four 12-hour shifts every 8-week schedule, with weekend and night coverage as needed.
