Job Summary
Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMT) located in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional for a general assignment. The position involves providing total care to critically ill patients in an Oncology Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, with a focus on patients requiring ventilator support, titrating drips, and complex care needs. The role supports a team of highly skilled staff on day shifts, with rotation into weekend and on-call responsibilities.

Job Details

Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/22/2026 to 12/22/2026
Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications, strong ICU experience including titrating drips, vent management, and patient care. Experience with CRRT and transplant patients is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: CRRT experience and transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver).
Patient Ratios: 2:1 on the unit
Type of Equipment: Ventilator, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), arterial lines (A-line), Bipap, Flow-track, IV pumps
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 10
- Staff: 1 charge nurse and additional RNs as per census
- Staff Types: Day and night shifts with fixed staffing patterns
- EMR: Meditech
- Dress Code: Blue scrubs
Typical Procedures: Care of critically ill patients, including turning, titrating drips, dressing changes, trach care
Personality Fit: Compassionate, team-oriented, with good rapport with physicians
Additional Information: Report times at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM, clock in/out for lunch, total patient care responsibilities, rotating weekends, and on-call shifts.
