Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialty position is located at a high-risk perinatal care unit that features comprehensive maternity services and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level III setting with responsibilities that include assisting with high-risk deliveries, postpartum care, antepartum management, and neonatal assessments. The position requires adapting to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting on 09/21/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the practicing state, minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery settings, certifications including BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in administering blood products, high-risk obstetric procedures, neonatal resuscitation, sterile speculum exams, and fetal monitoring. Additional skill requirements include managing postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia/eclampsia, emergent deliveries, and neonatal assessments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in facilities handling 200+ deliveries, or those with 100-200 deliveries, with a strong focus on high-risk obstetrics.
• Schedule: The position involves working 12-hour day shifts with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
• Additional Information: Intensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory, interpretation, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Staffing includes 3 skilled RNs per shift in triage, 3 CNAs for postpartum care, and 24/72 CRNAs and health unit coordinators available 24/7. Candidates must commit to working during specific holidays and adhere to all certification and skill requirements, including SVE. This role involves mandatory float capabilities, with a focus on providing exceptional maternal and neonatal care while adhering to facility policies and safety protocols.
