Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care, with a focus on neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies and complex spine cases. The scheduled shifts are days, specifically for weekend coverage on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the ability to competently manage urgent and emergent cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of OR experience, proficiency with Epic charting system, BLS, CNOR certification, and prior experience in trauma and neuro cases.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries.
- Float: May float to outpatient surgical centers as needed.
- Additional Information: Position requires full competence in neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries. Candidates must be able to circulate a wide variety of urgent/emergent cases, including orthopedic and neurological cases. Candidates must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). The start date is 09/08/2026, with an end date of 12/29/2026. The assignment involves working in a general, ortho, neuro, ENT, plastics, robotics, and transplant units with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
