Job Summary
Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) position in a general medical surgical unit. The role involves providing direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations, with a focus on monitoring, managing dysrhythmias, and following established protocols. The facility staff support includes diverse interdisciplinary teams, and the units environment emphasizes quality patient care and compliance with safety standards.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state or a licensed compact state, BLS certification, at least 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience, experience with Epic charting system, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, peripheral line care/management, and community hospital experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or II experience, previous charge nurse experience, telemetry monitoring experience, recent Epic experience (within 6 months)
• Float: To units of equal or lesser acuity whereby float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • The unit accepts first-time travelers
  • The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a daily census of approximately 37 patients
  • The unit is cross-functional with a house discharge nurse floating across all departments and telemetry monitored in a centralized unit
  • Recent Epic charting experience required within the last 6 months
  • Must adhere to 50-mile radius rule, with all licensing and experience requirements fulfilled prior to submittal
  • Onboarding includes completing core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite modules include non-billable hours during orientation
