Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in the department specializing in obstetrics, located in a community hospital setting. The role involves managing and supporting high-risk antepartum patients, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and providing comprehensive obstetrical care. The position is scheduled for days shifts, requiring dedication to patient safety and high-quality care delivery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate; 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery; valid state or compact license; minimum of 0 years of experience preferred, with 2 years strongly recommended
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk antepartum cases, use of intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), maintaining central lines (CVC / PICC), administering anticoagulation therapy, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-section, and knowledge of sterile vaginal exams and PPE procedures
  • Additional Information: The candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility. Orientation includes 4-6 hours of New Hire orientation and 2-3 hours of Allied health modules, completed onsite during orientation. The unit supports a patient census of 200-300 births per month, provides interdisciplinary support, and manages high-risk obstetrical patients requiring specialized procedures and equipment.
