Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse located in the specified region. This position involves supporting a surgical unit with diverse case types, including general, orthopedic, gynecological, spine, neuro, urology, ophthalmology, and ENT procedures. The role requires flexibility with rotating shifts, primarily 12-hour shifts, and includes call responsibilities. The candidate will participate in unit-specific onboarding and work within an electronic medical record system to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0645-1915), with an average minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association) certifications, minimum of 2 years of relevant surgical experience, proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record, and experience with DaVinci robotic surgery and spine procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience scrubbed in OR settings, flexibly floating within zone facilities, and ability to respond to call within 30 minutes.
• Float: Very rare but possible as helping hands.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have DaVinci robotic experience and spine surgical background.
  • Shifts may include approximately 1-2 weeknight calls per week and one weekend call per month, including primary and backup responsibilities.
  • The hospital has a policy allowing cancellation of up to 4 shifts in a 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
  • Unit-specific orientation tailored for travel RNs.
  • Scrubs are provided in blue by the hospital.
  • The position may involve floating within Zone 3 if necessary.
  • No BSN is required, but licensed professionals are eligible to submit applications.
