Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility where the RN provides high-quality patient care by adhering to established nursing protocols. The RN supervises licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees while engaging in patient assessments and ensuring optimal health outcomes. This role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and professional growth, with a focus on delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: Working nights for at least 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to first shift; ICU experience; minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience; valid nursing license; willingness to work in a healthcare facility setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Progressive Care Unit is highly desired.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in patient education and discharge planning. Maintains accurate documentation, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures patient safety and comfort within a team-driven environment. Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development through continuing education.
