Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located around Denver City Center. This role involves providing critical care in a highly dynamic environment, with assignments across various ICU units including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU. The position requires flexibility to float across multiple facilities within Zone 3 and adherence to scheduling protocols over a 13-week contract.
Job Details:
- Location: Zone 3 (Based around Denver City Center), with no home base facility. Must be at least 60 miles from each designated facility within the zone.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Schedules are released 4-6 weeks in advance, with options to be assigned at a single facility for the week or through Just-In-Time (JIT) notifications 1-2 hours before shift start.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certification, minimum of 2 years ICU experience or 3+ years for first-time travelers, and Epic experience if applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience, comfort in titrating critical drips such as pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Responsibilities: Managing critical care patients, titrating medications and drips, responding to emergencies, assisting respiratory therapists, and reading telemedicine monitors.
- Additional Information:
- Must be available for 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotations.
- Must float within Zone 3 to various ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed.
- No home base facility; candidates must comply with float policies and zone distance requirements.
- Shifts are nights with a scheduled period from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026; the traveler must ensure availability for the full duration.
